Imagine your child joyfully leaving for school each day anticipating an engaging and happy learning environment where they are met with a curriculum that supports their developmental and emotional needs.

Goora Gan Steiner School is located by the beach in Agnes Water, a stunning coastal town on the tranquil Discovery Coast of QLD.  An accredited P-6 Primary School, Goora Gan Steiner is the first school of its kind in the Wide Bay region, founded in 2015 with a blessing and its name given by Gooreng Gooreng Elder Uncle Merv, the school opened in 2017 offering Prep-Class 2 for eight students. 'Goora Gan' means sandy loam Country.

As enrolment numbers grew, the school was fortunate to relocate in March 2019 from its founding location to the current beach-side home at the Agnes Water Surf Club.  The Surf Club is leased for six years, enabling the school to grow whilst a permanent site is developed.  A milestone in the school's development occurred when the school purchased land for a permanent site build in August 2021. Associated development and application processes are now underway until occupancy of the new site - expected in 2026.

Goora Gan Steiner School acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the land on which our school operates and throughout Australia and recognise their continuing connection to land, waters and culture.
